I recently had the pleasure of interviewing the adorable actress and activist, Eva Longoria Parker for the Daily 1o. For the second year in a row she is the honorary chair for Rally for Kids with Cancer, a scavenger hunt fundraiser that raises money for different children’s cancer charities. Eva is a little ball of positive energy and a joy to talk to. She is passionate about giving back and very competitive. She won the scavenger cup last year and plans to reclaim her crown this year. Eva and I spoke about why she got involved, whether or not babies are in her future, and who is a better driver, her or her point guard husband Tony Parker. Check it out.
In honor of 20 years of pop culture, E! teamed up with Ciroc vodka to throw a party, Hollywood style. Held on the rooftop of the London Hotel in West Hollywood, celebs, E! execs and party guests socialized amidst a picture perfect backdrop overlooking the twinkling lights of Hollywood. I put on a sparkly studded white French Connection cocktail dress and brought along my handsome scruffy date Drew Seeley. We sipped champagne and noshed on spicy tuna, truffle fries and chicken nuggets. I hung out with my co-host Melana Scantlin as we admired the acrobatics of the aerial artists dangling above the pool. I had the privilege of catching up with the super sweet and always adorable Jeannie Mai, host of How Do I Look? on the Style Network. It was a fun festive night of mixing and mingling. Before heading out to make my way back to E! to finish my duties for E! News Now, I made sure to thank the man behind the brand, Ted Harbert for a lovely night.
I’m a big music lover. It can completely change your mood, provide a soundtrack for your day and create a relaxing/hyper/somber/energetic ambiance, whatever you are looking for. I listen to wide variety of music including pop, rock, R & B, jazz and alternative. A band that always makes me happy when it pops up on my ipod is the All American Rejects. It is such great music with thoughtful, powerful lyrics to jam out to. I was invited to attend their world premiere party for Turn on me 3, a viral video campaign for JVC mobile. The event was held at Cinespace in Hollywood (where my film Dinner at Eight premiered 3 years ago) and I was delighted to attend. I spent the night dancing and chatting with my girlfriends. Ladies night out is always a rare, welcome change for me 🙂
I wore a dress by Kardashians for Bebe and an amazing bracelet by Kat Giarrantano. She an I interned together at Entertainment Tonight in 2004 and have remained in contact. So proud of her! Look how far we’ve come!!
Check out an interview I did with Peter Gonzaga of Pacific Rim Video. You get a lil taste of my singing. HA! At least I’m not like Heidi Montag and flat out refuse to sing for people…I’d say I’m a good sport 😉 Enjoy!
First off I have to say a big CONGRATS to my beau Drew Seeley who’s pilot Glory Daze just got picked up for 8 episode on TBS. So excited for him, he’s worked so hard to get here and I’m so happy to watch him live his dream!
I, of course, love going to these events and jump at any chance to play dress up and have some fun with fashion. When I heard “Young Hollywood” I immediately thought fun and playful. So I went down to get some help from my friends at theChic Little Devil. Kelly hooked me up with an amazing fitted bandage dress by Los Angeles designerPleasure Doing Business. I LOVE the zebra print on the dress and the fit was incredible, like a glove, no spanx necessary! I fell in love with a hot pink raw stone double finger ring by Jasmine Pennammaand had to wear it. I pulled the look together with a pair of to DIE for jeweled t-strap Gucci shoes and dagger chandelier earrings. I’m so blessed to get my hair and make up done every day for E! so after a quick touch up from the fabulous Rachel Herrera my make up was set! I had the amazing Autumn Sanders, who did our hair for IKAV, come over and fancy up my hair. I wanted something rock n roll so we decided on big curls with a a braid on one side. I loved the whole look!
We got to hob nob with celebs and honorees like Ashley Green, Nikki Reed, Jessica Stroup,David Henrie, Kyle Massey, among others. I also ran into some of my E! peeps, the Party Girl herself Cristina Gibson and her fellow gossip girl, Dhavi Shira. It was also fun to see my girl Melanie Segal enjoying herself as a guest and not the host this time around, even though she does it so well! One person I’m sad I missed, Monique Coleman. After thumbing through event pics, I recognized her dress! Turns out I DID see her, from the back and didn’t know it was her! I remember thinking to myself, wow that dress is cute, not bothering to see who it belonged to. Well, that was Mo’s back. Bummer!
The Awards portion of the night was quick and painless, even though I was almost deafened by the screams for Nick Jonas. He looked quite dapper I might add. Afterward we noshed on mini burgers and fries, sipped a cocktail, mingled a bit and called it a night. Every Hollywood fairy tale night must come to an end! Til the next one…
If you haven’t heard the good news, I Kissed a Vampire, which began as a web series, is now a full length movie! I am so excited for this film to debut, we worked really hard on it and had a great time shooting. I got to work with some of my best friends including Emily Morris,Autumn Grabeel, Katie Seeley, Lucas Grabeeland of course my man, Drew Seeley. Thanks to IKAV, I also made some new friends. Adrian Slade stars as Sara Lane, love interst of both Dylan and Trey. She and her sister Sally are a joy to be around. Since working with them, they have become like sisters to me. We all got along so well on set and spent a lot of time laughing with each other.
I play Luna Dark, Trey’s #1 Vampirette. Problem is, he starts falling for Sara, a newly turned Vampire and Luna isn’t very happy about that. Watch the drama unfold when the movie makes its world premiere at theSeattle International Film Festival. Come out and support in person! The entire cast will all be there for the sneak preview on June 10th and big debut on June 12th. Follow IKAV’s twitterfor all the latest info. The teaser trailer was just released on IKAV’s official website but you can also view it below.
As a host and actress, I am blessed to have many great opportunities come my way. There are so many perks to the job that I love, the clothes, hair, make up and fun events. But above all of that superficial stuff, what I love most about having a career in the public eyes is that it affords me a wonderful platform to be an activist for important causes. A friend of my mine has Lyme disease, a disease many know nothing about. It knows no racial, socioeconomic, gender or age discriminations. Just the simple bite of a tick can make you seriously ill. Take a moment to watch these videos and educate yourself on what you can do to prevent this scary disease from striking you and your loved ones. Learn more about Lyme HERE.
Nearly 2 years ago, I had the pleasure of being the lone girl in a short film written by Mike Young for American Eagle, directed by Kevin Connolly of Entourage fame. I even got to rap my lines in this silly sing a long commercial, so to speak. We shot for half a day in Beverly Wood California and it was a total blast. Watch rap-master Drew Seeley lay down some rhymes in this short video clip. Enjoy
