Hello my little bloodsuckers! I’m so happy to report that the world premiere of I Kissed a Vampire at the Seattle International Film Festival was a massive success. We premiered our film to a sold out crowd at the Egyptian theater and the entire cast was there to celebrate!
Adrian Slade, Drew Seeley, Lucas Grabeel, Emily Morris, Autumn Grabeel, Lori Lively, Katie Seeley, Sally Slade and myself made the trek to Seattle to see our film make its big debut. Frankie Blue, our amazing composer, Chris Nolan, our director and Laurie Nolan our producer/writer were also there to join in the fun.
Us girls started our day primping together, sipping champagne and watching the world cup. The lovely Autumn Sanders, who was part of our amazing hair and make up team for IKAV, was on hand to glam us all up for our big event. We were each dolled up to our personal specifications. I went for a sophisticated look with clean make up, dark lips and sleek up do. I kept it playful by adding a twist to my bun in the shape of a bow, made out of my hair! Too cute. My wonderful stylist at E! Kit Scarbo helped me put together this fantastic ensemble. I wanted something pretty and flowy to contrast my characters harsh rocker look. The final result is a perfect mix of sweet and sassy. Loved it! Get the look: top by Saivana, skirt by Mink Pink. My amazing jewelry was by Jessica Matrasko. I wore gorgeous earrings and a fantastic cuff from her collection. You MUST check out her website. She does incredible creations from raw stones in gilded metal, mostly 24K gold. Absolutely adore her jewelry.
After we were all primped and red carpet ready, we piled into our awaiting limo and headed to the theater. The line was wrapped around the block! It was so exciting to see all those eager fans. Some kids came running over to meet Lucas and Drew and couldn’t contain their excitement, it was beyond cute. After a few photos, we headed inside to take our seats. Drew and Lucas introduced the film and rumor has it, Bill Gates was in the audience! He’s apparently good friends with our Exec Producer Mike Slade.
It was so fun to watch I Kissed a Vampire
on the big screen and experience it with the SOLD OUT audience. We laughed along with them and even clapped after many of the musical numbers. I’d have to say it was very well received.
We did a short Q & A and met with some fans before heading back to the hotel for our after party.
We partied the night away singing Karaoke tunes (Madonna, No Doubt and System of a Down for me), sipping cocktails and chowing on hor dourves. It was an exhilarating night that I hope we get to repeat here in LA . I’m so proud of the entire cast, you guys did amazing work! To the fans who came out and supported our little film, thank you so much! If you liked it, write a review and spread the word. If you hated it, write about! After all, haters are the biggest fans hehe 😉 Cheers!
