I’m proud to announce I am officially and Angel Pal! What’s that you ask?  Well, its sorta like a special friend…to a very special kid.  I can’t tell you specifics about my friend, but I’m very excited about this partnership.  I got involved with Child Help about 3 years ago.  They are an amazing non profit organization dedicated to helping abused and neglected children.

The Childhelp Merv Griffin Village (the Village) has been dedicated to the 24-hour-a-day treatment of severely abused, neglected, and at-risk children since 1978. Committed to creating a genuine community environment, the Village houses as many as 84 children ranging in age from 6 to 14 years.

Every year the Village holds the annual Ray Cham Hollywood Day.  Its an exciting event where the kids get treated like celebrities for the day.  Sponsors like Levi’s and Smashbox cosmetics donate their time and products to ensure the children get the star treatment.  In addition to having their hair and make up styled, the kids are outfitted from head to toe with new jeans, personally designed screen printed shirts and brand new kicks.  Then its on to the head-shot station for a photo.  My favorite part of the day is simply interacting with these incredible little human beings.

Drew and I happily signed autographs for everyone and I got a few sweet signatures to add to my own collection!

I always look forward to this day because it truly does make a difference in these kids lives and there is absolutely no feeling like making a child smile.  Drew Seeley and I co-emceed the days festivities which included a drum circle,

performance by the dance troupe X-Mob, the musical stylings of the Little Ladiez and games galore.

Our big hearted  friends Brandon Slavinski and Laura Killian came out to lend a hand as well.  I can’t wait to go back and hang out with my little buddy for the annual Christmas party.  If you want to help, click here.
