Nearly 2 years ago, I had the pleasure of being the lone girl in a short film written by Mike Young for American Eagle, directed by Kevin Connolly of Entourage fame.  I even got to rap my lines in this silly sing a long commercial, so to speak.  We shot for half a day in Beverly Wood California and it was a total blast.  Watch rap-master Drew Seeley lay down some rhymes in this short video clip.  Enjoy

Child Hunger Awareness Rally

Hello friends!  Been on vacation and away from the blogosphere for a moment, but I’m back, rested and refreshed and ready to take on the world! Before I took off for my week of relaxing, I found some time to focus on something bigger than my upcoming Holiday.

As you know, I take every opportunity to give back and shine light on important issues.   In recent months I have worked with the LA Food Bank to help end hunger locally in LA.   I was excited to be invited to this fun event at Universal Studios Hollywood to benefit the LA Food Bank.  This particular event was to raise awareness specifically about child hunger .  I stopped by Wisteria Lane where celebs like the events hostess Dana Delaney from Desperate Housewives, her co-stars Brenda Strong and Andrea Bowen, 90210’s Trevor Donovan, David Arquette and of course my boo, Drew Seeley were gathered for a morning of service and support.  We helped pack bags for the food bank, signed plates to be auctioned off and listened as speakers informed us of the appalling statics of child hunger and what we can do to help.   See a video from the event and learn how you can host your own rally here.

Amy Lands Hollywood Dream Role!

Posted by | Amy Paffrath, Appearances, Projects, Uncategorized | No Comments

Hello dolls!

So I fibbed a little 😉  You wont see me performing in my dream role on the big screen just yet, but you CAN see me live at ACME Comedy this Friday March 26th.  I’ll be performing with their main improv group in ACME’s Unscripted Hollywood Dream Role.

What happens when a celebrity lands the role of a lifetime, but there’s no script, so the actors have to make it up as they go? Is it a Dream Role, or a Nightmare?
This week starring Amy Paffrath (“E! News Now”, “Daily 10” )

Each week our celebrity gue st star joins ACME’s top improvisers to create a film-like story, based on the guest star’s choice of genre and a “dream role” they’d love to play. Action-adventure, film noir, romantic comedy, horror – anything! What follows is an unscripted tale with shining moments and scenes that go delightfully wrong… all to fulfill our guest star’s desire to play their “Hollywood Dream Role”!

Come out and support the live show at ACME Comedy 135 N. La Brea Ave
Hollywood, CA 90036
.  Tickets are available for $5 online at ACME Comedy

or $8 at the door.

You can also watch the show ONLINE.

Very excited to be back onstage, LIVE!!

Hope you all are doing well!

Youth Run 4 Haiti

Posted by | Amy Paffrath, Appearances, Uncategorized | No Comments

I’m sure you are all well aware of the aftermath of the devastating 7.0 earthquake that rocked Haiti on January 12th.  The damage and loss of life was immense and is no where close to being restored.  There are so many ways to get involved and lend a helping hand.  We cannot simply sit back and do nothing.  When people are hurting and in need, we must help them.  One way I got involved was with an event hosted by Josh Duhamel called Youth Run 4 Haiti.  It was a 2 mile beach run in Santa Monica.  Held in conjunction with the Red Cross, participants were asked to donate $10 to be part of the event.  There was huge turn out.  More than 3000 people turned up to run for Haiti.  That’s over $30000!  I figured, I am lucky to be able bodied and this is just one small symbolic gesture to raise awareness and money for a cause in dire need of attention right now.

I was joined by Drew Seeley, Matt Kemp, Gregg Sulkin, Olesya Rulin, Molly Sims and of course the host Josh Duhamel.  Find out how YOU can help and do something, big or small.  Funds are tight for everyone, but realize that the people in Haiti have nothing.  We have so much to be thankful for.  You get what you give, so give generously. Check out Red Cross, Mercy Corps or Youth Run 4 Haiti for ways to get involved.

Exciting Updates

Whats up friends! Some very exciting things are happening in the world of Amy Paffrath and I have to share the good news. First, I have a fabulous new team of agents working for me. They are Max Stubblefield and Hayley Lozitsky from United Talent Agency. I am beyond thrilled to be part of their star studded roster. I feel that I know how my super team built and this will only help catapult my career to the next level.

I have some more exciting news! I have a fabulous assignment coming up for E! News. They are sending me on a Cruise to the Bahamas to interview the New Kids on the Block! I am so stoked and shocked that I get to do this shoot. It’s going to be a wild ride. I will be sure to post pics, video and a blog about my experience. If you would’ve told me in 1st grade when I was an NKOTB mega fan, that I’d be hanging out with them in the Bahamas for 4 days reporting for E! News, I’d have thought you were a crazy person. But it’s happening and I’m ecstatic.

The last bit of news is about some projects I am working on. I am currently shooting 3 web shows. One is called 20 Somethin’, I play Allie, a sweet guys girl who works at the bar where the guys hang out.

Another is called Avenue, I play Nikki, the spoiled rich girl who stirs up trouble, has boyfriend issues and is bit of a bratty drama queen. I play such polar opposites in these two shows, it keeps things fresh and interesting.

These photos are from the Avenue shoot this past weekend.

Lastly, I am psyched to have a cameo as a vampirette in I Kissed a Vampire. Its a rock opera starring Drew Seeley and Lucas Grabeel. Its going to be majorly awesome.
I will be sure to keep you posted on all these projects and how you can see them.

Until next time, MUAH!
